The Larkspur Canine Commons is Moving
On July 13, 2013, City Council acted to restore the Larkspur Canine Commons Dog Park to a wetlands and authorize the dog park to be relocated.
The City staff held two public workshops, August 22, 2013 & September 11, 2013. Options for the new dog park were presented to the public which included Niven Park, the north end of Piper Park and the South end of Piper Park and the option for no dog park at all. The results of the public outreach were presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission on September 19, 2013 and to the City Council on October 2, 2013.

City Council gave direction to staff to proceed with relocating the dog park to the south end of Piper Park.
Your Input is Important
The Public Works and Recreation Departments have worked with the Consultant team to develop concept plans for public comment. These plans are intended to provide images for the public to comment on preferences and give ideas for the design of the new facility.
