Policies & Computer Information

Larkspur Library adheres to the following policies in order to provide equal access to library resources, ensure the safety of our patrons, and provide high quality service to our community.

Patron Behavior Policy

Internet Policy

Larkspur Library has four internet stations available for use by patrons, as well as free Wi-Fi. Our internet stations are Windows PCs; they have the following software loaded on them:

  • Google Chrome and Firefox
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher
  • Windows Media Player
  • Paint.net (an image editor similar to MS Paint)
The Library provides headphones for listening to music or videos. The PCs also have CD/DVD drives for listening to or viewing discs.

The fourth internet station is an iMac with the following software loaded onto it:

  • Safari Web Browser and Firefox
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements
  • Apple Keynote, Pages, Numbers (applications similiar to Microsoft Office)

Printing is available in color ($1/page) or Black and White (.15/page) from all 4 internet stations. Please pay for your prints after at the Circulation Desk. There is a copy machine available in the building lobby, and a scanner at the service desk.

A library card is not necessary to use our computers. You may ask at the service desk for a Guest Pass if you don't have a library card. Internet Computer use is limited to one hour per day.

Please note that to protect patron privacy, all files are deleted from the computer at the end of a session. To avoid losing your work, be sure to make sure you save it somewhere off the computer (on your thumb drive, cloud or emailed to yourself) when you have five minutes remaining.
